Christmas in the Rearview Mirror 2014
Ding dong merrily on high in heaven the bells are ringing.
Ding dong verily the Sky(e) is riv’n with everyone singing…..
Ding dong, Gloria…..“….How was your Christmas?”
Our Christmas was a blast. With all the planning and preparing and anticipation that go into Christmas time, ours went off without a hitch. We had my parents and Aunt Sue in to stay at our lil’ B&B and I have to tell you everything just fell in place. We could not have asked for a warmer, more festive Christmas.
Oh, and the smiles? There were lots of smiles for my girls and family.
Christmas actually began for us on Christmas Eve as our girls got a surprise box delivered that day from a very special grandmother and her daughter.
The girl’s tore into it and loved everything they received!
Including some reindeer food.
No, no, they did not eat the reindeer food sent to feed Santa’s team. They sprinkled it in the lawn later, a now annual event at our house thanks to this very special family.
It is always fun to see our girls caught up in the Christmas excitement, and Dylan left a trail of reindeer food right to our front door in anticipation for our midnight visitor.
Santa did not disappoint this year either! Here is a glimpse of the load Santa left before gobbling up the Christmas cookies, egg nog, chocolate and even more egg nog…
And so our girls went to town dismantling the Christmas packages and seeing if Santa met their ever changing Christmas wish list….
It was a holiday created for the movie Frozen and the girls were not spared ANY Frozen paraphernalia what so ever. More on this later….
Afterwards the living room looked something like this…..
But somebody still wasn’t happy….
So Grandma and Grandpa and the great Aunt Sue brought out their Christmas offerings for our girls…
I don’t think they were very disappointed!
The Frozen update?
When Mom put all the clothes away (and they got some clothes!) she counted 18 tops for Skylar that had a Frozen princess on them, or somehow otherwise Frozen related. I am guessing Dylan had a similar tally…
After all the Christmas present unwrapping we settled down for the traditional egg nog French Toast breakfast.
Even Chumley enjoyed some egg nog Christmas morning!
…although he too stayed in his pajamas all morning
We hope you and yours had an enjoyable Christmas too! There are still plenty of cookies and chocolate kisses here for you, whenever you get a chance to drop by.
What was your best Christmas memory this year?
How many Frozen clothes did you get?
Hey Karen! Thanks for the nice well-wishes! I hope everyone in your family is doing good and looking forward to a great New Year as well. Happy New Year Karen!
Feliz Ano Nuevo to You and yours too Maria! Out with the old and in with the new! Yes, I hope Frozen has a sequel in the theaters this summer or else my girl’s wardrobe will be out of style! …unlike you and me 🙂 Have a great weekend Maria and the best 2015! Thanks for dropping by…

Thank you so much Lis! I just found your blog. I enjoy it so much. I love what you do. I was wondering if there is an English version of it. I couldn’t find a link for one. I wish you lots of great health and happiness too my friend. May it be your best one yet! 🙂 Thanks for following my blog!
A very dear New Year’s greeting.
A Happy New Year with good health and happiness,
wish You and Your Family … Lis
Yes, there were many classics shots that I missed too but Sue may have. It was a good time as everything fell in place and no surprises. And that game was exciting, huh? Troy texted me saying how lousy the officiating was. I just had to drink heavily (no I didn’t). Thanks for your generous gifts too! Yes, I will see you next year! Take care.. Happy new year to everyone in your house too…
Yes, so many presents. I need to post the video with Skylar opening her presents. All the clothes did nothing for her at all. She never even looked at them, just threw them to Mom. Merry Christmas Ms. Aurora! As always, thanks for stopping by…
Home is where the heart is, huh? I am glad you enjoyed a lovely time after all. We still have some kisses and hugs for you, from Hershey’s if you want to drop by. Yes, best wishes to you and your family for a bright and healthy New Year as well! All the best Diana…
Thanks for the write up, it was like being there. Great pictures of the christmas room and the girls especially. Nice to see chumely got to celebrate too. Where was he during the high energy part of Christmas present opening? I’m really sorry (for myself) that I missed it all, especially your breakfast. Save thoose cookies and chocolate for sometime………I can safely say I did not get any frozen related intems, although the girls little half sister got her share from Marty. Its hard to pick a “best” memory, but I think I am going to say spending the time w/ marty finishing up wrapping gifts Christmas eve…I always have some egg nog to help remind me of Christmas-s past w/ the whole family. Makes me happy to hear you all had a grand time and things went well. Those 2 pictures of Skylar are classic. I hope you all got to see PSU pull out the win and celebrated Mom and D’ad’s Anniversaryin good fashion. Talk to you in 2015!!
So many presents, very nice.
For those front teeth, maybe next xmas.
Sounds like a great Christmas Andy! Mine was way more quiet and a little sad, not being able to spend it with family. (My daughter is a 5 hr. drive NE of me and my parents and brother and family, a 5 hr. flight east) But I was invited to an old friend’s place and it was lovely. 😀
All the best to you and yours in 2015!
