Princesses For A Day…

...smiles and memories to last a lifetime.

You can’t walk into Disney World without hearing the word “Magical“! They are trying to incorporate the word Magical into their brand at Disney. And I tell you they truly succeed at this. From the moments BEFORE you enter the Disney World park, they builds suspense and anticipation…while you are just killing time waiting for the gates to open. Take a look:

That takes place everyday about 10 minutes before the park opens

Well would be more magical than for our two little Princesses to meet the real-live Disney Princesses? Yes, there is a ride for that!

So while we were not on time enough to get the Disney Fast Pass for this attraction we were able to race to the other side of the park the Magic Castle, where it all takes place.

Magic_Kingdom_Magic Castle

Once there, we arranged for our little Princesses to get a room so one by one their adoring Disney Princesses could come by and greet their biggest fans.

Who do you think arrived first?

They were Giddy with excitement!

Anna and Elsa were Giddy with excitement!

The shock or adrenaline of meeting the one and only Elsa and Anna was actually too much for little Skylar at first. She had a meltdown at meeting her favorite celebrity.

Dare I say Froze on the spot!

Dylan was able to compose herself for the task though as Elsa made her appearance:

Magic_Kingdom_Park_D Elsa and AnnaThe joy was evident when they both got to share hugs with their very favorite Princess Anna.

Next came Rapunzel to meet our very own royalty. She bent down to humble herself before our girls:

Seizing the moment, I broke into my Smolder for Rapunzel:

Carpe Diem!

Carpe Diem!

You could tell she was curiously having fun with the idea but I could tell she had her mind on this guy…

Next, arriving at our Disney Princess Meet and Greet was none other than Cinderella!

Our girls were all smiles at meeting the one and only Cinderella.

Treated like royalty, they were presented with the Disney Glass Slipper Award for living their lives (and wardrobes) in “all things Disney”.

Magical Slipper Award!

It was really a big deal! They were very excited!

Our girls never did get a chance to meet their first love in Princesses, Princess Ariel. I hear she was some where out to sea.

The Magic didn’t end with this Meet and Greet though!

When word got around the Magical Kingdom that our girls, were visiting for the first time, the cast from the Briar Patch tracked them down at a Magical Restaurant, the Crystal Palace.

(Folks, if you visit Disney World, Get the Meal Plan, I’ll explain later)

And that was just dinner one night!

All in all, Disney World takes the art of ‘making dreams and magical wishes come true‘ an everyday evident. As you can see, our girls were nothing but smiles, thanks to Disney generosity and ingenuity.

Maybe the best example of Disney Magical genius came to life on our last day.

I guess everyone knows about the Frozen phenomenon that has entranced almost every female girl, ages 2 -22 on the planet. It has become a gold mine for its creators. Adding to that is the Frozen songs and soundtrack that most every girl in grade school and Junior High know by heart.

Right?

Does every child know these songs?

Disneys_Hollywood_Studios_Frozen sing a long

So what could be more Magical to a young girl than singing her favorite Frozen songs along with the Frozen Princesses?  …at the top of her lungs

Would that not be Shangri La for any girl 2-10?

Well Disney took these ‘two great tastes that taste great together’ and made a show out of them in one of their less popular parks, Disney Hollywood Studios.

Do think it is hard to get a ticket for this one? Even the Fast Pass line took 20 minutes to get in.

But could anything be more memorable, more Magical then singing along with Elsa and Anna during their famous movie?

Look for the unbridled smiles on our girls and everyone else at the end of this one:

Genius!

And our girls got to sing, and smile (did you see those smiles?) and feel like Princesses every day we were there!

Thanks Disney!

You are Magical!

GUEST POST: Hans On Marketing Company

I wanted to step back from my what I normally try to do here in 3D for a moment. Like many of you, I get many proposals from outside people and companies offering to write Guest Posts for my blog. Normally I quickly dismiss these requests; unless they want to pay me large sums up money upfront.

But I did receive one request last week that I seriously did consider. After all, as you look around, you certainly can’t argue with the success of this company. Its ideas and concepts are practically household items that are cleverly reinvented to help others sell, move, and distribute their products for the benefit of all.

I know many of you have outside companies or projects you maintain on the side, whether it is a book publishing company, fitness services or products or software companies that you are always looking for more sales from.

So, with that in mind, I thought this Guest Post might be beneficial to you, or all of you. The rest of you I hope you please don’t hate as I try to spread a little good will for some of my readers.

So without further delay, please let me introduce you to Hans, of the Hans On Marketing Company (HOMC) from the European country of Arendelle. Take it away Hans!

Hello everyone in 3D Land, as Andy said, my name is Hans and I represent the marketing company of Hans On Marketing Company, where we promise you we can sell ANYTHING! That’s right, I said my staff can sell ANYTHING you can imagine.

We have had success with many companies, large and small, selling all types of products and services all over the world. And we think we can do the same for you!

Companies have come to us to sell bedroom suites, food, clothing, vacations, linen, family activities, and much more. And we have sold these items. HOMC has increased sales for many companies 10 fold and gotten rid of unused or out dated inventories.

It’s true. You can believe Hans!

We have even sold things as impossible to sell as used birthday cakes for a small bakery by putting our simple spin on them from our motherland of Arendelle.

froz used cake

In a different situation a large cereal company asked us if we could help them sell some of their old, unsuccessful inventories of cereal that were aging in their warehouses.

We took a look at it and found it fit into our Marketing model and guaranteed success to that company; throwing a “Collector’s Edition” logo on the box for good measure.

froz cereal

We have similar success with old board games, ones that everyone knows but whose sales are sagging and in TROUBLE. Revamped their outsides, put some Arendelle twists on the insides and voila…brand new board games and tea sets:

froz trouble games

One company concerned with kid’s health and fitness came to us. They were concerned kids today were spending too much time inside, playing these same board games or computers, and asked us how we could get kids outside again to run and exercise.

Our Marketing minds put their thoughts together. We agreed to the challenge. We said, “Trust us!”.

So we took old sneakers, forgotten in the backs of closets and made them trendy, sparkly and ‘fun to run’ in using our patented Arendelle marketing:

froz old sneaks

Plus we revamped some kids bikes, made them everyone’s favorite Arendelle colors, and lined them with the faces of our lovely models creating kids bikes they will never let go of, keeping the kids outside having some fun…

froz bikeWe have also worked with parents and kids in the Back To School theme, making coveted items that will be the envy of all youngsters going back to school with bags, lunch boxes and book covers:

froz bags n box

We created other novelty, must have items with our Arendelle niche marketing. Items such as purses, diaries, and very coveted chapter books….

froz purse

Also we created and marketed….Back To School fashions for all the ‘in-crowd‘…

froz dress

…to even night-time attire for young ones, making going to bed fun again.

froz PJs

Bedtime fun?

Why we have actually created entire bedroom designs for the little girls who have everything, where just not any gift will do for the young heiresses. Take a look at our designer sheets, blankets and pillow cases:

froz bed spread

That last particular marketing campaign ended with such success for our clients that the Bed Bath and Yonder actually came to us, asking if we could help capture some of the money spent in a younger market segment for them in their stores.

Never one to turn down a challenge, or big company contracts, we told them,

Trust us!”

Our marketing geniuses came up with new twists on common items that would have the younger market stereotypes standing, waiting in line at the door, being the first to buy these great ‘new’ bathroom items. Items such as shower curtains:

froz shower curtain

Shower curtains and matching bath towels with hoodies:

froz bath towels

We even put our unique twist on getting kids to wash their dirty little faces with Arendelle soap and wash cloths:

froz hand soap

Need further proof of our marketing supremacy?

Look what we did when a local candy company came to us and told us about their marketing problem.

This age old family business told us there was no way to sell their surplus of Jelly Beans this year in the always competitive shelf space for Easter candy.

We said, “Trust us and your trusty family recipe jelly beans will be not just stocked on the grocery shelves but flying off of them!

froz Jelly beans

And it worked! Here are some laying on the floor…

We have since reached out to other forms of media, such as TV, and extended one of our wonderful Arnedelle models to help revamp ratings of struggling or inconspicuous TV shows. Here one of our models struts her stuff and graces one unknown dancer into stardom. Yes, even with TV, helping our clients reach top sales is an Open Door. We are even considering doing a movie featuring our two top models from Arendelle.

So that is our portfolio of proof on how our Hans On Marketing Company can help you and your goods or services. Don’t delay! Contact our Customer Service staff and we can tell you how we can help you increase sales and revenues with our Arendelle niche marketing.

Additionally, as our global models, Anna and Elsa, continue to grow in popularity we can promise you an exclusive TV or Internet commercial.

The world can see our models endorse YOUR goods or services, live, for everyone to take note.

Trust me..

froz gif trust me

These girls will stand behind your product and work tirelessly for the good of our great customers. They love all the world-wide attention and notoriety they have achieved, as well as for the success for the companies they have marketed. The world can’t get enough of seeing them on anything and everything that can be sold, bartered or traded. They feel their dedication to selling your product far out weighs their own personal time or taking vacations to see family and friends. They won’t be satisfied until their pretty faces adorn every product out there world-wide.

Right girls? froz gif

The cold never bothered me anyway

Happy birthday Dylan!

I may have been conspicuously absent this week. You see it is half way through the birthday season here in our zip code. This week was Dylan’s birthday week.

Dylan turned 7 this week. As when I was a kid we started the week off with her favorite birthday dinner. The birthday dinner she asked for was at Texas Roadhouse. She later asked if her best friend from school could join her for her birthday dinner. Well, its her birthday, why not?

I think she had a good time for her birthday dinner

I guess she had a good time for her birthday dinner

We waited till the weekend to have her birthday party. She choose the locally trendy Carolina Ice Palace for her shindig.

What, ice?

Frozen?

Winter?

Hasn’t there been enough cold already?

We had a great time. As part of the party everyone gets to skate for an hour.

Everyone!

Watch out for Mom!

Watch out for Mom!

True to form, in this Frozen themed ice palace we saw a Princess Elsa (above) and a Queen Ana (below)

skyeEveryone had some ‘walkers’ or ‘skaters’ to help them if they were new to skating. But it didn’t take my ‘A’ student long to figure it out…

She continued to learn and pick up speed until she more closely resembled a hockey player more than Princess Elsa

Did someone yell Pizza!

pizza

Then there was the traditional cake and ice cream and birthday song.

It was a good 7th birthday for her. At the end of the day we asked her what her favorite part of the day was?

She said having her (long lost childhood friend/ first neighbor/ first best) friend Drayton show up  at the party.

Drayton and his family were our neighbors when lil D was born and the two became good friends, as we all did in Dylan’s early days….

But his family moved away on assignment 3 or 4 years ago and they each grew up a bit in the meantime.

That is one pure smile with her buddy Drayton

It was nice to see those two still good friends after all the time past and not feeling too awkward.

Next to come in this wonderful birthday season is the visit of Aunt Sue and the girl’s grand parents for more birthday gifts and surprises, followed by Easter and the Easter bunny, followed by Skylar’s b-day two weeks later. She is planning something much more low key at the local bouncy, jumpy trampoline place…

Stay tuned!

Stay tuned! We know that’s where she wants to go but everything else is still up in the air…

Drayton, along with all Dylan’s good friend stopping by, seemed to be the perfect cap on a great birthday party, at the end of a fun-filled birthday week at the frosty and Frozen Ice Palace. Yes, it was still a chilly afternoon, inside and out of the skating rink. Its OK though. The cold never bothered me anyway.

Still,

I thought I heard someone holler “Boat Drinks!

Someone get me two more boat drinks. I’d rather go where its warm..

Boat drinks, later that night we had boat drinks
Visitors just scored on the home rink
Everything seems to be wrong

Lately, newspapers mentioned cheap airfare
I’ve got to fly to Saint somewhere
I’m close to bodily harm

Twenty degrees and the hockey games on
Nobody cares; they are way too far gone
Screamin’ “Boat drinks,” somethin’
To keep them all warm.

This morning I shot six holes in my freezer
I think I got cabin fever

Somebody sound the alarm

Server, I think I need two more boat drinks
Then I’m headin south ‘fore my dream shrinks
I gotta go where it’s warm

I gotta go where its warm!

Happy birthday Dylan!

Happy Spring everyone!

I’m headed south to St. Somewhere.

I need to find some place warm..

Extra, Extra! Suspect arrested for the closing of local schools

Just in!

The normally balmy climate on the coast of South Carolina had taken a wicked turn this week. Schools were closed from the threat of a freezing rain and frozen streets Tuesday.

A telephone message left on our home phone Monday confirmed schools were closed in 5 neighboring counties the next day. This was odd given only a forecast of 34 overnight for a low.

Did these school districts know something we did not?

As it turned out, schools and businesses were closed up and down the coast of South Carolina Tuesday. This never happens here!

Police sniffed out a slippery suspect. They were hot on a trail!

Upon further investigation it turns out Princess Elsa has made her way to the historic town of Charleston, like so many other tourists. But unlike other well intended tourists, Princess Elsa left a trail of ice, sleet and snow. Being chased by police all around Charleston, local pol-ice finally caught up with her as she tried to freeze a local town’s fountain in front of their pol-ice station.

Further investigation revealed the Frozen Princess was responsible for record lows all over the state this week. She was apprehended with no further incident.

He gave me a ticket too

The cold never bothered me anyway

Want to build a snowman?

Want to build a snowman?

Film at 11 on ABC News 4!

My girls are upstairs in shock after seeing their Disney idol being arrested right here in their hometown!

Dylan wants to ask her if she can have off from school the rest of the week.

Skylar wants to send her a Popsicle

She shoots! She scores!

Hi Gang!

I wanted to send a quick post to friends and family about what is going on here in our ‘burb’. Everyone always asks “so how are the girls doing?” So I wanted to do one about them on their blog for a change.

Remember these girls?

Remember these girls?

Time did not expand after the holidays. These days every Saturday morning starts off with a ‘competitive’ came of basketball.

Skylar is enrolled in a youth basketball league sponsored by our town and a local church.

bballl10411432_834740583252259_1551846492772932937_n

We wanted to do something for her since her sister is in Girls

Sscouts. Plus she really needs an energy outlet.

Know what? She’s pretty good for her short self! Playing among her peers, she scored the first two baskets the first game and has scored two baskets in every game since.

"Go ahead, make my day!"

“Go ahead, make my day!”

And as good as she is getting at tossing the ball in, or at the hoop, she is even more tenacious on defense. So much so that the refs have to ask her to back up sometimes to give the other kids with the ball a chance.

There also has been a plethora of kids birthdays lately. The trendy kids birthday party this year is at the local ice skating palace, er, castle.

Who would have thought in South Carolina the girls would gravitate to ice skating?

Oh, I know why?

Every daughter appears to be a Princess at this palace, er, Castle!

Every daughter appears to be a Princess at this palace, er, Castle!

Yes, the owners of this ice skating palace know how to ride the Disney train! Of course our girls have a great time pushing themselves around the ice. Dylan can go lickety-split now without the use of her ‘walker’. And you just never know who you will run into at the palace…

I like warm hugs

I like warm hugs

I, on the other hand, have been a Grinch, due to this darn, cheap, no accountable FreeMotion treadmill I bought. The manufacturer said they would forward a magical card to insert into he machine that was supposed to restart the machine.

If you remember it was out of stock. Well after waiting 10 days for the card to get ‘in stock’ the company tells me it no longer is made.

Say what?

So now they are going to send me the entire top console of the treadmill to fix that machine and get it running again.

Only that too is out of stock.

Did I mention the is a FREEMOTION TREADMILL with the fancy IFIT android console.

Folks, I really can’t recommend this company (Icon) or any of its products. Everything seems to be “out of stock” once you buy it, except all the warranties they offer. It really upsets me.

And they wouldn’t like me when I am upset.

But wait!

This post was supposed to about the girls. Did I mention Dylan also got straight A’s again on her report card last week? Yep! We are so proud of her. Although getting straight A’s is not really any trick for her any more.

This is the trick our silly girl is working on….

Daddy, I smell thunder. Was that you?

Daddy, I smell Thunder. Was that you?

…..trying to hold her little nostrils shut. Kids! But she will do anything she sets her mind too.

Which reminds me of some amazing weather we had last week, complete with the most amazing and brilliant rainbow I had ever scene when leaving work one day.

rainbow

The base of the rainbow was brilliant like it was on fire. It lit up the sky around the base. See the second rainbow behind it? And how the weather is different on the outside of the rainbow versus the inside of the rainbow? I just had to stop and appreciate it for a minute.

Appreciate it like I do for all of you and my wonderful family.

I appreciate you all!

Have a great weekend everyone!

May all your shots go through their hoops!
