OUR LIFE IN 3D

The Home of Daddy's Day Dare! ~ I am just trying to stay above water

Hang up where the bluebirds fly in 2014

I heard this song in the car this afternoon. It was a great version of two classic songs; hard to do!

It took me to the thought about all the promise in the new year of 2014.

“And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.”

Somewhere over the rainbow

Blue birds fly

And the dreams that you dreamed of

Dreams really do come true.

Someday I’ll wish upon a star

Wake up where the clouds are far behind me

Where trouble melts like lemon drops

High above the chimney tops that’s where you’ll find me oh

Thanks to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole for such a wonderful vision put forth in song.

Here is to making trips to up where the bluebirds fly, making all your dreams come true in 2014!

Happy New Year everyone!

Own it!

Make it your best one yet…

  1. IZ rules! I love this one. You simply cannot go wrong with Hawaiian music in the car… until you find that you are daydreaming about sitting on a North Shore beach. 🙂 Very happy New Year wishes to you!

  2. Yes…had heard of him quite a few years ago.
We’re in the middle of a blizzard so staying warm is imperative.

  3. Amen Ms. Aurora! When you get some lemonade let me know! I still can’t figure out that whole melting of lemon drops thing…. Happy New Year to you! I hope it is a good one to you….Thanks for stopping by

  4. I hear you Ms. Brickhouse. Blind sided is no way to go into the New Year! So you can’t be conned to think EVERYTHING will always come up roses, eh? I know hiccups do come in the road to dreams, just gotta roll with it and not let life’s storms, speed bumps or trains derail us. I still want to be incharge of our own happiness . Thanks for dropping by Maria! I do hope your 2014 is smooth sailing….

  5. So yo uhave heard of Israel? I never had but it appears he has a huge following in Hawaii. Yes he has his own sooth, graceful flow to him. Thanks for dropping by Sandy! Stay warm up there!

  6. Lets hope for a healthy 2014.
Would be nice to turn problems into sweet lemonade 🙂

  7. Well said, Andy. Own it! It’s exciting to think about what is ahead for all of us in 2014. I think it’s important to acknowledge that there WILL be trying times and sad times along with the good times. It is the nature of the beast and if we go into it knowing this, we will not be blindsided as much and will learn to take it in, take it on and own it. 🙂

  8. Absolutely love this collaboration of those two beautiful songs. Israel had a lovely voice and his early death tragic. A very talented musician and graceful spirit.
    Happy 2014.

  9. Thank you Lola! I will see you there and may all your troubles melt like lemon drops…I wish you great success in your new adventure. I know you will do well and I am looking forward to hearing all about it…Happy New Year!

  10. Love this. I’ll see you where the bluebirds fly. 🙂 Wishing you an abundant New Year, Andy!

  11. Isn’t that a great song…and then the video? Yes, I know of pic with the hammocks as I thought how great they would look on your beach. The B&B is a great idea, one the bluebirds carry for me. Now if I could only get Jimmy B. to work with me and somebody to help with breakfast and taking care of some warm facial towels I would be set. Please come back and enjoy that video again and again…like I am about ready to do. I hope the bluebirds carry you to new heights this year SSM and all your troubles melt like lemon drops. Thanks for dropping by!

  12. And great new Year to you too Diana! How is it up with the bluebirds?

  13. Until you own it the dream only is a good idea, right? Happy New Year Lisa!

  14. Please excuse all the clicks on the video – that’s me, hanging out on all those beaches. Especially the ones with the big hammocks. Seeing those inspiring scenes, I think somebody should develop a beachy B&B concept… Happy new year, and may all your dreams come true this year, Mr. 3D!

  15. Happy New Year Andy!

  16. YES!! I love that….
    OWN IT!!

I would love to hear from you...
